    Hi,

We have just bought an X5 with comms pack and exactly the same has happened to us. We have tried everything...did you ever find a solution?

Also I have the same issue on 2004 X5 with comms. No orange light on left hand knob hence no function for radio CD or Sat Nav voice. All right hand buttons work.. screen is OK. Sat Nav works( apart from voice) so does computer.

Hiya, I have the same problem on my X5, its a 2003 model. Are the fuses easy to take out and put in?

The same problem, no sound on radio/nav, screen worked otherwise. Taking fuses off and putting back worked!!!

    Thanks!! Saved $$$

Taking out the fuses and putting them back in again works but before you put the fuses back on clean the end of the fuses with a bit of steel wool and take the oxidation residue off and put them back in or just replace fuse number 7,72 and 73 and it should work perfectly fine.

Radio

You could have a stuck button that is blocking the rest of the buttons from functioning. Check the hand controls on the steering and if all is ok, try get the radio out and unplug it. If this now gives you heater display and functionality the problem is on the radio itself.

Before you delve too deep, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Sometimes they just get "confused" and need a reboot! Its worth a try!

2004 NISSAN SENTRA . THE VOLUME OF THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING. THE KNOB WORKS, THE BUTTONS FOR DIFFERENT RADIO STATIONS WORK. THERE IS JUST NO VOLUME.

same this happned to me in my 2006 sentra. the volume for the radio is gone. i can tune, its just barely audible/ quiet. weirdly though it sounds perfect when playing CDs. i almost thought maybe it got switched in to mute mode or something. did you figure out your problem?

Manual stolen when car was vandalized, need to know how to set clock and radio stations in 1994 Ford Tempo please

setting stations on Fords are easy, put it on the station you want to program and push the channel button in and hold for about 2 seconds then it should flash, now the channel is set..now for the clock, with the key on and radio turned off, press the clock button, then press the seek or scan forward or reverse to adjust the time, then hit the clock button again to make sure it sets.

Volume control knob on radio turns volume up at all times

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well

Clock

If the radio and clock is the original equipment then here is how to set the clock.

1. Turn the radio on

2. Press and hold in the on/off-volume-clock control

3. While holding the on/off-volume-clock button in, press the left(-) side of the "TUNE" button to advance the hours and the right (+) side to advance the minutes.

Note: The clock displays 12-hour time with no A.M. /P.M. indications

These instructions come from the Electronic Sound Systems manual that I have with my van. Hope this helps.
