I have a 2006 silverado 5.3 with dual climate control A/C. my A/C was working fine before I turned it off and when I turned it on I noticed it wasn't getting cold. I pushed the A/C button and the symbol flashed 3 times and went off. I tried it a few more times and it will not stay on. The fan blows just fine and the belt is ok. Any help would be very much appreciated

You have the common 99/04 Jeep GC blend door problem.

A repair shop or dealer will charge around $1,000

There are do-it yourself blend door repairs on Ebay.

Hello, This is because your actuator door in the dash board is broken. its about $1000 to fix. Its a bad design flaw that Jeep used in their dual climate control. Many many many jeep owners have had this problem.

SOURCE: 2004 chevy tahoe, dual climate control, blowing different temps

Its more then likely the temp door broken or temp door motor broken/stuck. There is 2-3 of these motors under the dash on the side of the evap/heater core box. Some require extensive labor to replace, good luck

7 chevy silverado dual climate control problem

Take battery cable off for 5 mins, then put battery cable back on. Insert your key into the ignition turn to on but don't start the vehicle wait 5 seconds turn back off repeat the key on/off three times. This initiates a re calibration of climate control equipment and actuators. It will fix your problem.

My 2004 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab dual Climate control appears to be malfunctioning. The passenger side is blowing hot air with the controls set on AC mode ( 67 Deg ) and the Driver side working...

you may need to have the controller re-calibrated. There is a TSB at the GM dealerships on this. What is happening is the the blend door control for the pass side has OVER-travelled and is stuck in a default position. You can try to pull the Blue fuse under your hood for the HVAC, for about 5-10 minutes and put it back in. (with the engine off) Then restart the truck and turn the Climate control back on, and push and hold the Auto button for 4-5 seconds

2006 Lincoln Navigator. My driver side heated seat is flaking out. I turn it on after starting the vehicle and it comes on for about 20 seconds and then shuts off. If i push the button a second time it...

Electronics involved !
The climate control seat system is able to heat and cool the front seats. Each climate controlled seat is operated by push-buttons on the dual automatic temperature controller (EATC) located on the instrument panel. Each front seat temperature is then monitored and controlled by the dual climate control seat module (dual CCSM) located underneath the passenger front seat cushion.

Both the driver and front passenger climate controlled seats are independently controlled electronically by the dual climate controlled seat module (CCSM) mounted to the bottom of the passenger seat cushion. The climate controlled seat system only operates with the engine running, however, if using a diagnostic tool to command the dual CCSM, diagnostic testing can be carried out with the ignition switch key ON engine OFF (KOEO). The system receives power from central junction box (CJB) fuse 118 (30A) through circuit 1153 (RD/BK) feeding battery voltage into dual CCSM C3265b pins 1 and 24. If power is disconnected from either pin 1 or 24 of dual CCSM C3265b, only 1 seat will be disabled (pin 1 for driver seat, pin 24 for passenger seat), the other will remain operational. Since both climate controlled seats operate independently, if a fault occurs setting a DTC specific to either climate controlled seat, only the affected seat will be disabled by the module and the other will remain operational.

Sorry , but it would be best for you to take it to the dealer or someother qualified repair shop.
