I have E class 2003 , when I drive at speed about 100 km/h the sign of ABS be on & ESP defective (increase braking distance visit workshop).if I still drive over 100 km/h i see (brake defective stop vehicle) when I stop turn the car off & on the warnning disapear. I visited workshop we find a problem in front left sensor of ABS we clean it after that the problem disapeared for 2 days only & then comed back .some one told me the problem in ABS sensor & second said in SBC please can you help me to solve this problem

Hi there

BAS is the Brake Assist System and if there is a malfunction it would only come into play in an Emergency stop while applying full pressure. BAS applies full braking force because people tend to lighten up their pressure on the pedal in these situations. I would suggest that the best thing to do is go to a Workshop or Service Center and have it checked out. Please remember to put a good rating on my profile.

This is normally a low voltage from the alternator condition. Hook a voltmeter to the battery and note the reading. Should be 11.6vdc to 12.2vdc. Start the car, after a minute or so it should be around 13 to 14 vdc., if not then the alternator may be bad

first check the brake fluid, if need fill it up by right brake fluid, if it's not help you must drive the car to Mercedes experienced workshop better way go to dealers workshop for diagnose, is this information helped you?

I had the same problem in me 2004 cdi e270. Check the voltage going to the battery when the car engine is on. Stedy charge of 12v should be going in to the battery, if the voltage is volitale say between 11v to 14v then it your Regulator (which is attached to the backend of the alternator). You need to change alternator and then unplug all the batteries over night and re plug them back again. The problem should go away.
