Question about 1998 Pontiac Sunfire

1 Answer

98 Pontiac Sunfire - Started and drove to work today as normal. Tried to start the car an hour later and it cranked and turned over but would not stay running. I'm told it may be a clogged fuel filter. Is this a sign of anything else?

Try fuel filter if you haven't changed it recently. It is a place to start. If you have not tuned it up recently do that also. Always do preventitive maintenance first before thinking its a major problem.

I just put an alternator in and new battery. I drove to work and every thing was fine. Four hours later when I tried cranking my car it started up normal but as I was pulling out the drive way it stopped....

Charge your Battery and if it still cranks over then you can rule out a starter But if it does'ent crank its most likey ur starter..... but it could also be that its not getting fuel so also check your fuel filter
