Lincoln ls 2003 battery is out of trunk ,trunk was shut close can not get in the trunk, key or manual ,will not open. backseat will not fold down

On each side of the trunk their are levers you pull to release the back seats to be lowered.

YOU CAN USE A BOOSTER JUMPER BATTERY PLUG ITS POWER ADAPTER IN THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET USE THE RIGHT ADAPTER.THEN YOU WILL HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO OPEN TRUNK TO CHARGE OR JUMP START THE BATTERY.

you have a valet lock feature. Check the glove box for a switch to deactivate. Otherwise check your owners manual for directions

You could raise the car up

Put your small battery chargers red clip,
very carefully on the big cable, on the starter solenoid stud

Black clip to any metal ground,engine bock
casting rib,bracket etc

Then plug in charger and try your key FOB after
about 5 or 10 mins,to open trunk and doors

Put you key into the truck cyl and open!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy or build a cigarette lighter plug to jumper cable adapter. It won't jump your car, but you will get enough juice to operate the trunk release.

Open the trunk manually using the key. the key hole is to the right looking under and up by the registration plate lights.

Can u get in the trunk from the back seat

Here is what I did. I folded down the arm rest in the center of the backseat. Then you will see a plastic piece that is held in by a few clips. Pop this rectangular plastic piece off and put it to the side. Now for the fun part. Take a jig saw or saw zaw and cut a hole through the plastic seat backing behind the plasic rectangular piece you just popped off. After you cut a hole in the seat back you will be able to take something long, reach in and pull the trunk popper in the back of the trunk. What I used was a cane with a claw hammer taped to the straight end of the cane and then used the curled end of the can to hold onto and pulled the little trunk popper handle with the claw of the hammer. Use a flashlight and shine it in the hole you made so you can locate the white handled trunk popper. It is in the very back of the car in the center and it hangs down from the trunk lid if I'm not mistaken... Also I was just told this and have not checked to see if its true but I guess you can pop the hood manually(without needing a charged battery) and look for a battery post located in the engine bay that connects to the battery in the trunk. This way you can hook jumper cables up to this post therefore bypassing the battery in the trunk altogether.

Actually its more of a fast draw. Everynight I have to put it on a 2 amp trickle charger so it will start in the morning. I've been doing some research and will be dusting off the multimeter for some testing tommorow.

If your trunk release button is electric, and not working because you need to turn the key to give it power, remove the button and use a piece of wire to jump power to it from the battery. This will get your trunk open! (don't forget to have a spare key made)
