Check wiring in your. I also own a Chrysler and the electric map manual says that it can be the battery the alternator or the car's wiring. Check for faulty wires and fuses, also for a short circuit (those can make battery die in a short time depending on how intense they are)
that is easier said then done on this damn car. LOL.. I have had the car running now for 45 min I have no dash lights no gas gauge but yet its still running. Any idea where to check wiring for that ? I really wanna blow this thing up. Everywhere I call they say they dont know.
Haha ...easy friend don't blow the Chrysler up it's a lil sissy sometimes but worth our time with it.
First thing first: FUSES do you know where the fuses door are in your car? If you don't I'll look for the pt cruiser manual and catch up when finding it. Well if you do know, then check for them to see if you find any blown one. The way you describe your non functionally gauges looks like a fuse failure more than wiring. I said wiring due to your problem of the car stopping when the battery dies. I'll also ask my mechanic.
If you want my Cirrus wiring diagram make me know...it's a different car but Chrysler basics wont change much and will let you recognize what the different wires stand for.
The easiest thing you can do is to get a voltmeter and check the battery's voltage, it has to be 12V...I was also told my battery was in great condition and ended up changing it ...
Mine is doing it now, what did u have to do 2 fix it? help!!!!
