My 03 tahoe dies when it comes to a complete stop... I can start it but when I give it gas in the park position and let it come back down to a idle it dies... I have replaced all spark plugs and wires... I checked the altanator, oil and air filter... It drives fine just dies when it comes to a stop... Fuel filter maybe??

Idles roughly, then low when stopped or in park, then dies. Decreasing gas mileage. Slow to accelerate

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.

Why does my 1995 pathfinder die when gas is not pressed?

The engine is fuel injected, so no carburetor.
Usually the problem is a dirty throttle body, faulty IAC valve, or other component.
The computer uses the idle air control valve to adjust the idle speed.

Disconnect your battery black wire off for 1/2 hour reconnect turn on all assesorys lights radio blower start car leave run for 5 min shut off for 5 min idle is controled by the computer the load
brings the idle up. Should be ok if not you may have to ajust the idle screw a little and then do this all over

Have someone listen at the gas cap for the fuel pump humm when you first start the motor and keep listening if it stops hummimg. The piump may wok when there is low pressure in line and stop after build up of pressure.

My 2001 Tahoe will not stay running when I give it

I have a 2K1 Tahoe that was doing the same thing. It wouldn't idle properly and would die at stop lights. The check engine light would come on once in a while for a few seconds. I took it to a dealer and they removed and cleaned the soot like residue and other build up from the throttle body. That fixed the problem and I haven't had any problems since then. Hope this helps.

sounds to me like your having a air leak... my hose on my tahoe had a tiny pin leak in it and it did the same thing... check the small hose that goes from the air filter to the head of the motor... that was where mine was if not, check your o2 censor...

Thats what it sounds like, a bad or clogged up fuel filter. if it bogs down when giving it gas, or going up a hill. its probably the fuel filter not letting enough fuel to engine. that is why it stalls at a stop. if this helps but not fully. check or clean idle air control motor. this is what maintains proper idle of vehicle. have a good day !!
