Open the liftgate, then look along the inside edge of the tail lamp. There should be a couple of fasteners holding the lamp in place. Pull those out, then pull directly backward on the tail lamp. At this point, the only things keeping the it in place are 2 nubs that are behind the tail lamp. You may need to use something (preferably not metal so as to keep from scratching the paint) to help pry the tail lamp backward away from the vehicle. This should be done along the forward-most edge of the tail lamp. There should be a soft popping noise when each nub is pulled out of the rubber socket.

Hope this helps!

Control switches on steering wheel do not light up at night

I don't believe they are lighted. I am 95% confident the criuse buttons don't light up. Did you just get this Jeep or am I wrong and they worked before? I really don't think there is anything wrong with your Jeep.

How to remove 2007 jeep commander climate control panel for light bulb replacement

The lights in the climate control panel are not bulbs, they are LED and the entire panel will need to be replaced. I would check for a bad connection before replacing the panel assembly.

Brake lights quit working. All fuses and bulbs are good. There is a blue wire labeled "electric brake" hanging by the pedal switch. where is this supposed to go?

I have had this problem for over 8 months. Break light would work, blinker would not . . . then blinker would work, break light would not . . . turn headlights left break light would go out . . . FINALLY my 75 year old father figured it out !!!! It was the STOP SWITCH - even though it showed it was working - Please replace it anyway !!! It's only $14.00 for the part. Also the other part needing replaced was the Flasher Relay - $34.00 !! NOONE not even JEEP could figure out this problem !!!

Is the hand brake working properly because if the rubber and springs used to brake the rear wheels is loose, the security assist system goes off and usually a bell rings and what not.
