Have you actually taken the car for a ride,
with someone from a repair shop in the car,
to experience all the issues ?

You had work done,I assume you paid for,
but nothing your having a problen with, resolved

We have thousands of people on this site alone,
with similar situations

I find it had to believe that every repair shop is
incompetant & incapable of repairing a car

76 jeep cherokee 360. how many turns on the oxygen screw of the carburator? i can take off fine if i baby the gas but if i give it too much gas it boggs down and back fires.

Sounds like a problem with the accelerator pump or cruise circuit in the carb. The idle mixture screws only affect the idle circuit.
You start with 2 turns out then adjust it with an exhaust gas analyzer.

1988 cutlass ciera boggs down when i accelerate

Hello! You have symptoms that point to incorrect fuel pressure.
First have the fuel pressure tested as follows; #1...engine running at idle: 13- 20 psi. #2...key on engine off: 23-30 psi. If pressure is incorrect change the fuel pump.

Does the engine "surge" at idle? If so, check the "fuel injection pressure regulator idle air control valve". Apply a vacuum to it; If fuel flows it is not the problem.

Car bogges out when the gas pedal is pressed.

If the check engine light is on, take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for fault codes. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. It sounds like it could be a faulty throttle position sensor, but getting the codes will end speculation and show what faults the computer has noted, so the problem can be properly addressed. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

1990 f150 w/5.8 FI motor, idles good, take on road, it boggs down

Have you changed the tps? The tps is like a dimmer switch with the idle being the lowest setting and everything above that being progressively stronger. If the switch is bad it will not advance spark or gas flow.

Stall out when given gas to excellerate ... runs fine in idle

For all those out there that have had problems with your Chevy Aveo Stalling, inconsistent idling, hard to start, or throttle problems, Hollywood Harv has the answer for you. Try a new Valve Idling Air Cont GM part number 93744675. You only need one and it has to be install by Chevrolet so they can place in the codes to make it work properly. Toss the old one away as most likely has so much carbon build up on the part that it stuck or struggling to function properly. It worked on mine after many different attempts at other stuff! This is a sure winner! Good luck and drive safe! Hollywood Harv
