I recently replaced the alternator on my 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer and everything seems to be working except a few annoying electrical issues. First, the cd player has ceased working. Prior to replacing the alternator I had 6 cds in and all was working perfectly. Now, I go to push the cd button and it says No disc same for when you push the eject button and I receive a Load Error if I push that button. We removed the fuses 31 and 7 in hopes of resetting the system but continue to have problems. Second, my dashboard lights cease working when the headlights our turned on and work fine when the headlights are off. Tried the dimmer and it does nothing. I was told that possibly the computer itself needs to be resent on the truck because it lose power completely when the alternator went out. Please advise.

There are four o2 sensors on this truck. one on each side just below the exhaust manifold, and one on each side behind the second catalytic converters. (just about even with the back of the front doors.

the heater bypass is quite simple, if you look at the firewall you will see two medium sized coolant lines, remove them from the firewall and link them together using a proper sized tube, you can purchase a kit at a parts store quite cheaply

The low pressure valve on the 01 expedition is located on the accumulator on the passenger side fire wall. The accumulator is underneath the battery relay and a grouping of wires. Had to squeeze hand underneath a heater hose and an a/c line to remove cap and hook up hose. Nothing has to be removed to locate the valve just a little touchy feely. Valve faces a 45 forward toward the engine.
