Hi i ma trying to replace the alternator in my 2006 tacoma and i cant figure out how to remove the serpentine belt because there is no diagram showing where the tension limiter is at can you help me

It's old question, you might find it out already.
If not, here is pictures and diagrams.
It might be two different routing.
Mine is limo which has two alternators.
try to see which is yours.
(red was mine with two alternators. original is black in diagram)

also you may know how to loosen serpentine by insert and turn 3/8 drive ratchet (just ratchet without any socket) to tensioner pulley if not, here is picture (I use 3/8 ratchet + pipe).
Picture was taken after 2nd alternator removed (around upper hose)

the belt routing should be on a sticker under hood. if it is gone, go to any auto parts store and they should be able to help you. if not, go to dealer and they should give you a diagram of the 4.0 for free.

I'm not trying to be a smart-a_s, but there is usually a sticker under the hood with its picture. Any help?

On my 2005 Tacoma with the 4.0L V6, I found it easier to change the belt from under the truck. Just remove the skid pan. Plenty of room to install the belt. The tensioner pulley is the one at about 2-o'clock from the crankshaft with the belt nearly all the way around it.
