Have you checked into the problem being the PCM? Had those same issues with my 06 Durango at about the same mileage (just a little higher, actually) and after exhausting every other possibility (changed air filters, transmission filters/fluids, spark plugs, fuel pump, etc.), replaced the PCM. Seemed to solve the problem. DIY alert, though: the PCM, while a plug & play type part, is a BEAR to get out! Very time consuming and you'll possibly throw a tool or two in frustration before you get it done.
I would do a tune up and this should fix your problem, i think the coil packs are around $30 a piece, you can just replace the spark plugs first, then if needed the coil packs. Hope this helped Tim

If the light is on there is a code, make sure pin number 16 of the diagnostic connector is B+ active, this powers the scanner. Pin 16 is the last pin in the bottom row of terminals
