93 tracker is getting no power.its been sitting for a while . Needed a water pump and guy changed pump out and says its getting no power when he put a battery in it...i was thinking the battery cables,fuses.....but im not sure just thinking .....

buy the car radio adapter kit $10, for 93 tracker or Sidekick
plug it in and it works
easy huh> PNP , plug and ply magic of ADAPTORs.

Does it get hotter if you just let it run without driving?
The thermostat you put in, did you make sure to put the solid copper side into the engine block and not the other way around?
Are you running water alone, or have you a proper coolant mixture?
Is the electric fan running all the time?

NO SPECIAL TOOL. MAKE SURE TO REPLACE THE FILTER THAT IS ON THE FUEL PUMP. AND ALSO REPLACE THE FILTER ON THE FRAME. JAKE.B

Did you find a solution to your problem? I have the same problem with my 93 Tracker. Help.

Check with the junkyard where you got the pump...you may need to change the pump bracket with the pump, or use a different pump.
You don't have a separate tensioner the pump is on a slide mount and is the tensioner (why the parts guy is a parts guy not a tech).

$100 for the pump.
tracker = usa so $50 hour (non dealer)
and 6 hours labor , less not Auto and A/C

$400 total.

wow, you replaced everthing, wow that was $$
any mech and $200 would net an answer.
those changes were used parts im sure.

1:engine compression on mine is 180 psi all 4.
i have same exact car if it hits 180 ,the motor is fine, even 150)
2: clogged up injectors for sitting too long and the gas is bad ,which fouls the whole fuel system.
filter tank and injectors.

BTW motor is running lean.
unplug the maf and the ecu will mimic a virtual maf. can car will run fine, a tad rich.
if it dont run fine there are no injections.

a full scan tools works on all 96s and can tell you lots of facts.
Is the CEL lamp out running,

if you open the hood and look in it should be on your right hand side in the front part of the motor good luck ray

well i have test.

if you have 1inch free play in pedal it clutch slips ,
clutch is bad , or the 89 93 bell housings are diffr.

was disk put in not backwards?
is it a new clutch.

Hi. you should replace air filter and ad a gooooood fuel ingection cleaner ,this should help.Good Luck
