It is on a stamped plate riveted in the engine compartment in a prominent position, but it should also be on your registration papers.

Hello l want to buy rebuilt kit for my 3 ton floor Jack G693 Regards

The average mass produced trolley jack capacity 1.5/3.0 tons has been for a few decades an item of generic manufacture - copies of copies that are label engineered and with minor differences in detail to suit different price/value brackets.

Unless a jack is a special type such as low entry, lightweight aluminium, quick lift or an extra high lift long chassis type, the standard types are now available so cheaply it is hardly economic to replace many parts as part of a repair, especially as such parts that tend to be available through the dealer tend to be grossly overpriced. A seal kit where available as a spare part for the jack from the brand dealer is likely to be similarly overpriced.

The most economic method is to buy such seals that are needed from a local hydraulics specialist, of which there is certain to be at least one in every town.

Is there somewhere online where I can put my car vin # in and it will tell me the exact part I need to order

no
the vin number is the identity code of the vehicle and doesn't refer to spare parts
remember that in a car there are over 1500 individual parts to make it
just go to a service dealer spares department and they will identify what you want

Radio code

You haven't stated the exact Toyota model, but the answer is the same anyway. Go to your nearest franchised Toyota dealer with proof of vehicle ownership, proof of ID and either the car itself or with the VIN ("chassis" number).

If the radio is the original one fitted to the car, they can then look up the code for you.

Dealers can charge for providing the information, but in practice if you're a regular customer or are buying parts or a service from them at the same time then the charge is typically waived.

You may also want to check all of the original vehicle documentation as the number may still be in there somewhere. It's also not uncommon to find that a previous owner has written it inside the glovebox lid or behind a sun visor.

My KIA Rio 2003 alternator driving belt broke and got lost at night. I have no identification details for it. I want to buy an new replacement locally may I have the part number? Does 4PK865 WORK FOR ME?

Go to AutoZone or Napa Auto Parts with the Make Model Year of your car and the ENGINE size. They will ask you with our without AC? With or without Power Steering? Standard or Automatic transmission? Then they will tell you exactly what belt Alternator you need. Everything is computerized and they will even show you the on screen picture if you ask.

This is what I can gather about your belt:

Power steering and air-conditioning;
35.5 in. effective L, 0.54 in. top W, 4 ribs;

Water pump and alternator there is 1 size and appears to be a "Micro V-belt vs a serpentine belt. i.e 2003 Kia Rio, sub models: RX-V, Base and Cinco

I live in South Africa and have a Mazda midge 323 160i 5 door hatch back but am not sure of its year model. My registration papers show the first year of registration as 1997, but I am not sure. The...

the only ones who could tell you the year and place of assembly from the chassis number is the parts department of the local mazda dealer ,but another good guide is the glass in the windows ,where it says toughened ,somewhere under a letter in the word toughened is a dot ,well this dot signifies the year of manufacturer of the glass ,but i cannot remember what year is what as to the relation of the dot .Also most engines have the same last 5 numbers as the chassis number so yours could have another engine from a scrap`yard which is why your asking what year is the car as its not lining up when you look in a manual ,if in any doubt check the chassis number stamped into teh chassis not the vin plate on the front of the vehicle

After replacing the ignition battery,my radio and clock do not work and displays LOC? What must I do?

The anti-theft radio security code has activated.

First, check all the documentation which came with the car. The radio security code is often printed or written down somewhere. Next, check inside the glovebox and any other storage boxes in the car as some owners write them down inside somewhere.

Failing that, you need to do one of two things:-

1. Visit a GMC car dealer with proof of I.D. and of vehicle ownership and the VIN number ("chassis" number) or remove the radio and write down the serial number. They can then look up the code for you; they're allowed to charge for the service but most dealers will supply it free to regular customers, or to those buying servicing or spare parts at the same time. If they want to charge for the number, remind them that you can always take your custom elsewhere in future. Note that the VIN number lookup only works if your car has the original factory radio. If not the radio must be removed to check the serial number.

2. Remove the car radio (you may need to buy special tools to do so) and write down the serial number. The visit a website where you can pay for the code number. Click here for one example, but there are many others. Don't use traders who won't supply a contact address as there are some who take your money and supply a useless code with no comeback. The link is for a company I've used reliably a few times before, but as I'm based in the UK they might not suit you.

Good luck, and I hope that you soon get your radio working again. Please take a moment to rate my answer.

I have a 1996 audi and need the radio code

Check all of the documentation which came with the vehicle as it's normally written down somewhere, often a previous owner may even have written it inside the glovebox.

Otherwise, you'll need to contact an Audi dealer with proof that you own the vehicle. They'll also need either the VIN (chassis number) or if the radio is not the original one fitted to the code you'll need to take the unit itself along.

If you ask very nicely, they may give the code to you but most will charge. In practice, if you're buying other spare parts or having any work done which costs around the same or more than the fee for providing the code then you'll normally get it for free. If you don't, then politely remind them that you can take your money elsewhere.
