I have a 2000 ford expedition and it will not turn over and it is not allowing the radio to come on either the battery is fully charged lights on dash come on but nothing else happens no clicking no trying ti turn over and i am getting frustrated. is it the starter the alternator what is the situation please help

could be an electrical problem.Start by checking your fuses to see if there all good. then see if the car cranks if not it is a battery problem make sure its charged enough.

The 2000 Fords should allow the radio to continue to play until you open the driver's door. The lights may stay on for 1 or 2 minutes after you leave the car (close the driver's door) depending on the lighting/security feature of your vehicle.

Your battery should be strong enough to allow these items to remain on for several minutes. If the battery weakens that quickly, you need a new battery or you need to have your charging system inspected.

clean and tighten the battery posts,, check for low voltage in the battery ,, It needs to show 12.4 volts to be fully charged, if it doesn't, charge the battery , ( you can try jumping it off another vehicle too )

When your battery light comes on it is telling you that your ALTERNATOR is not charging your battery! So you need to replace the alternator.

ACTUALLY I HAVE A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND ITS YOUR STARTER GO OUT AND HIT IT WITH A HAMMER A COUPLE TIMES IT WILL START THEN DRIVE IT TO THE SHOP CAUSE IT NEED TO BE REPLACED THERE IS A DEAD SPOT IN THE STARTER

The battery light is telling you that you are running off the battery,and you have a problem with your charging system. An easy way to check your alternator is to get a volt meter, and measure the voltage of your fully charged battery. with your expedition not running, it should read about 12.6 volts. When you start your expedition, it should read approx 14 volts if your alternator is working properly.
Of course, check all of your connections first, and most auto parts stores will check your alternator out for free, so they might have a chance to sell you one!

Likely bad ground. Also check battery voltage when headlights are on. Most stereos shuts off when battery level drops bellow certain value

first of all you may not be looking for a fuse if you have an owner manual check the fuse box under the hood as well it maybe one of the little boxes called a relay
