The a/c system will add heat to your cooling system when turned on. You need to check the air flow through the condenser. During normal driving dirt and other road debris build up between the condenser and the radiator. If they build up enough,they can ob-struck the air flow. This will usually cause the vehicle to overheat at low speeds or when stopped at a light. Take a look at this and let me know what you find. Also send back the information about your Lincoln like the make,model,year and engine size. Also if you have done any work to it recently. Thanks,Chuck
