2002 chevy s-10 blazer. Car stopped at store. Fuel is not getting to engine. Starting fluid will immediatelt start motor but after it burns off it stops. I have changed the fuel pump relay, checked all fuses, changed the fuel pump and the inline filter on the frame. The nre pmp is still not working. Have I missed a sensor or relay? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
The same thing happened to me. I was driving on the highway and had a sudden loss of power, the engine just went dead. I pulled off the road and tried to start the truck and all it did was crank, no firing! I pulled it home and poured some gas down the air throat and it fired for just a few seconds. I have a code that says it is the Mass Fuel Sensor, but my mechanic friend says a bad Mass Fuel Sensor will cause the engine to run rough and not cause it to die and not run. I plan to disconnect the fuel line after the fuel filter and turn the key on to see if any gas comes out.

I have 2000 Chevy blazer 4.3 l v6 vortex I had the same problem I would spray starter fluid into the air flirted canester Nd it would start as soon as I stopped spraying the fluid the engine would die first I checked to make sure my gas pump was working in the gas tank second I checked my fuses under the hood and last the fuel pressure so my gas pump was on in the tank fuses were also ok but I had no pressure on the gas line so that ment my gas pump was bad I replaced it after replacing it my blazer fires problems free now
You may have a fuel pressure problem or the secuirty system has locked you out for some reason due to a false signal or failed part. Do you have any electronic engine control codes? Is the Security light on in the instrument cluster and fishing when you try to start the truck? To check the fuel issue get a can of spray starting fluid from the auto parts store or any hardware store and spray it into the air intake of the engine while someone cranks the engine, if it starts you may have a defective fuel pump, the pump is located inside the fuel tank, the fuel tank must be removed to access and replace the pump.
Check for gas or spark problem on the engine. Check that starting fluid does start the car for a few seconds before dying, indicating a fuel delivery problem, like a fuel pump or circuit to it.
If the car won't start with starting fluid sprayed into the intake, then the ignition system may be at fault, or engine timing.
There is a module in the ignition cap that is known to go bad. If it is this part, your truck will almost turn over, but not quite. I would check there first. Once you get it out, one of you local parts stores can test it.
replace the fuel injectors, that is the likely cause......
to test the injector, take the power clip off the top of the injector, take one wire and ground it to the body of the car, and another form the battery, to the other post on the injector, if you do not hear a pulsing sound coming from the injector it is bad, if you do, then you have a wiring problem.
