I have a ford excort, none of the radio functions work,I have the radio code but can't enter the code! Its a ford 2001 radio. The code is 112, but can't enter it.

look inside your book owner manual
somewhere it supposed to have the code and a way to enter the code ,
or a manual of the radio !
somewhere in those books the code is printed like a ink pad label !
when you change the battery you need to inter the code each time,
open the radio with the number pad enter the code
you must do step by step like the manual of the radio say !!!!!
or the car dealer could help you
if you dont have the code the radio is useless

How to enter code:
Press button 1 until 1st number is reached (one click at a time)
Press button 2 until 2nd number is reached
Press button 3 until 3rd button is reached
Press button 4 until 4th button is reached
Press 5 after code is correctly entered to store, finished.

There will be a code to reset the radio in your instruction manual. Find the code then remove the + terminal on the battery for a minute or two then refit it . follow the instructions in the manual to install the code .

there is a code that you will have to re-enter to get the radio to work . This is an anti theft device built into the radio to make it useless to the thief. The radio manufacture may have the code or a radio shop may be able to help

If this is the stock radio it has an anti-theft code that needs to be entered into the stereo.The only way I know to get the code is to contact your Ford dealer.

In Alot of the newer Fords the brake pedal must be depressed to put the vehicle into gear, this is contolled by a sensor near the top portion of the brake lever, just because your brake lights are working, does not mean this switch, is properly functioning, also it is very possible there is a second switch located in the same area that controls this function. Also if this vehicle is a console shift, it is possible that the safety switch that is connected to shifter is disconnected or broken, this will stop your car from shifting into gear as well.
