Its the torque circuit but i would be able to help more if you provided year and model. With the torque convertor clutch stuck on, the torque convertor is not disengaging causing the bucking. There is a constant TCC apply. It means you probably have a defective TCC solenoid or TCC-PWM solenoid on the valve body. To correct the problem one of them needs to be replaced.

P0742 2001 Buick Regal. Constantly seem to be fixing something on this car, prob because it has over 200k miles! Lol. Right now it does not drive/shift right. If you are gentle with the throttle it's...

Sounds like the torque converter is slipping. Have you check the oil level in the transmission? Also burnt oil can sometimes cause this problem.

Was going to work today and the durango sounded funny when it shifted in to 3rd gear it just reved up and never shifted . Now i'm getting a check engine light and error code p0700

Code 700 is a generic code for a problem with the transmission or the control module. Normally there are other codes for specific components.
You'll probably need a transmission shop to take a look.

Check engine light is on. got these codes P0742, P0741 and P2763. I have changed the transmission fluid. what should i do next?

I will check the exhaust sensor, with todays gas you may have to replaced that could be the problem.

Shift into D the N started flashing green .

Try moving the shift lever from D towards the next gear away from N (not all the way, just hold it a little bit over). If the N light goes out and the D light acts normal, then your shift linkage needs to be adjusted so the transmission goes into gear exactly when the shift lever is in a detent.
If that isn't the problem, it's time to get a readout of the engine error code to see where the problem is. You can get this done at most car parts stores, or they may let you use their engine code analyzer yourself if you give them a deposit on it. (The two hardest parts are getting down under the steering wheel to plug it in and deciphering the error code.)

Car has been running funny. Check engine light

check for cracked air intake tube. just fixed one on 92 accord. also look for bad vacuum lines. check tube right by throttle where it attaches to motor coming from air cleaner box. if so cut it evenly at the crack and reattach using same hose clamp. hope this helps and good luck

1999 Buick Park Ave Ultra Service Engine Light Code #P0742

The code PO742 indicates the torque converter clutch is stuck on.
The torque converter is what connects the engine to the transmission.
It engages and disengages according to signals from the pcm, to aid in
smooth shifting. There are a couple of things you can try. make sure trans. fluid is full, if thats ok check the 20 pin connector, located on left
side of car on top of transmission bell housing. Make sure there's no
corrosion or bent pins. If this clears the code your all set, if not you may
want to ask your mechanic and see what he/she recomends.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

Code P0742 on 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with 3.1L engine. I experience intermittent hard shifting while driving. THe check engine light comes on if I drive it too long.

Not an intrigue, sorry. run over anything lately? A pinched cooler line could cause this. Or maybe just an old, gummy transmission.

Changed transfilter and fluid and now slip shifts and/or shift intermittent error

Sometimes if you have to wrangle the pan off(you didn't remove the cross-member) you will damage the shift solenoids. If you have a check engine light you can get it checked at any Advance Auto store for free. If the codes show shift A and Shift B they are pretty easy to fix,(they are on the bottom of the tranny, you have to pull the pan off again though) If not sometimes the tranny just gets used to the old fluid and acts funny when you put in new, might be time for a rebuild

2002 Toyota Celica with a strange shifting problem.

I had the same problem, replacing you thermostat should do the trick, i spent 8.99 on a new thermostat and 99 cents on a seal. For some reason engine temperature affects the transmission shifting. Good luck
