My 2004 Lincoln LS check advance track light comes on and goes back off everyday. I asked PEP Boys to look at it. They are sending me to the lincoln dealership here in Nashville TN. I have had nothing but problems with this car since I hit 100,000 miles. What do you suggest before I get screwed at the dealership again.

engine size is immaterial when it comes to steering
what matters is body length, mounting positions and methods, tie rod lengths , position of pinion , method f attaching steering shaft
best if you go to a wreckers and view both steering assemblies side by side to check any differences
or you can pull both out and interchange or you can go to a dealer spares and see if the boxes have the same part numbers
or you can ring a steering specialist shop and ask if there is any differences

ive had that problem it sounds like the steering wheel sensor is bad ,struts has nothing to do with this problem get it to the dealer now

you can buy them at napa auto parts / auto zone / advanced auto / pep boys / and any auto parts store near you. don't buy the cheep plugs they only make more problems in the long run
mid grade plugs are fine

You will need a OBD2 code reader, that will give you a "trouble code" then that will tell you what direction to look in, for the problem.

this is going to NEED to go back to the dealer. they can reprogram your keys and system througn their laptop. thats the only way.

These cars are famous for leaky seals where the valve cover interfaces with the cylinder head, at the spark plug journals. They fill with oil, short the coils and cause a misfire. Driving it any significant distance can destroy your catalytic converters ad unburnt fuel ignites therein, creating inferno-like conditions and a fire hazard too. You'll get a "300 code", such as 301 if cylinder 1 is misfiring, 302 for # 2, etc. Pull the coil off the spark plug for that cylinder and if it is moist at all, that's your issue. Have new seals put in, or you'll just keep blowing coils at $50 a whack.

check to see if there is a separate fuse for each seat and also to find out if the heat element is unpluged or just burned out stop by a dealer and check in the parts department and at the same time you can get a price and exact location where it is located in the seat cause you may have to remove the seat covers to repair it or replace

Most reputable chain shops will test your alternator FREE, call around to Pep Boys, Autozone, etc and ask if they will. 
Most of these problems are just poor maintenance, corroded battery terminals, aged battery.  Get someone to clean and tighten your battery connections and have that alternator tested if the problems persist.
