Was the Solenoid Shift Valve & Pressure
Pack, in trans replaced ?

You do realize that your transmission should have lasted
many more years.

They fail because the fluid is not changed
every 30,000 miles

I have a 2003 Lincoln LS can the ECU Computer make the transmission run Harsh shift down hard?

no
that will be problems with the TCM , VSS or TR sensors
an oil change for the transmission would also help
have the fault codes read by a professional auto transmission shop

Was $515.30 / $332.20 five years ago, when I
did mine- on the 2004 L/S

If you have been using it- then you ruined the
transmission & it will have to be rebuilt

If so-- check the two case servo bores for wear & install
bushings if necessary & all valve body mods

Having owned a trans shop in New Jersey years ago, I find your remarks
rather harsh

If they rebuilt the unit correctly , it should be fine & it should not have failed in 8 years,
if you changed the fluid every 30,000 miles, then what happened & why?

What were you told & why are you not back there?

Were updates done on the trans to correct the original problem
or any mention of a dealer flashing updates into the pcm?
