I have a 1999 chrysler sebring coupe with a 2.5 v6 engine.My problem is the car idles rough and misses at low rpm.But it runs good on the road no problems. When i let off the gas like going down a hill or going to stop at a stop light the rpm's drop to 0 and dies.The car starts back up ok and i can drive off ok.It justs stalls when i going to stop.Other than that it runs fine.I just put a new distributor on it today and it did nothing to help.Can you solve my problem please.

Code 37 is torque converter clutch solenoid failure. Transmission wont shift in and out of overdrive.

It may be the oil pump. If the gauge is going up when the rpms increase it's probably not the gauge or pressure switch. If the computer senses the oil pressure is low it will shut the vehicle off to try to save it's self from catastrophic failure. Also it may start cranking longer before starting. Thats it building oil pressure before the computer will let it start. Make sure oil is full, clean & thick.

to reset the computer simply unplug the battery for about 30 minutes.

However, you have a different problem I believe. you need to check your plugs and wires/coil packs. A fouled spark plug will cause rough running at any speed.

It could be a bad Throttle Position Sensor, or also could be a bad vacuum line.

your probably feeling a rough idle of the engine. need a tune up?

in park the engine is not loaded down, just idling at a low rpm=rough
in drive with brake on you have put some load on motor also at low rpm=rough
in drive on the road engine is at higher rpm, = smoother

generally 4 cylinder motors idle a bit rough, especially if one spark plug is not firing right or fouled or one bad spark plug wire. tune up may fix it. if it is not stumbling real bad or stalling then you can live with it.
