Check the spark plug gap no more than 25th ,if that doesnt work then check compression ,if all else fails clear the garage out and keep the car in it.What sort of temperatures are we talking about here as if too low then fit a block heater as well like swedish cars.Yes i was taught about russian way on the tanks and planes by my mentors 40 yrs ago ,like putting petrol into the sump with the oil ,using hot stones under the engine of the tanks and the one i like best ?? the vodka but dont ask how they used it -well they were only war stories
Hi
Is the car Petrol or Diesel fuel ? If its petrol I would think the petrol has gone off after 3 years ,it turns a dark yellow in colour I had the same problem
Hope this helps Nick
How long does it take for your battery to go flat, if it's after a few turns and not firing most common problem is crankshaft sensor located at back of engine by starter motor easier to access from underside of car only one bolt holding in which is a torx but can get a hex socket on if not got torx and simple plug fit on sensor . Hope this helps
Hello my friend, the only petrol filter is fixed directly with the petrol pump under the back seat so if its need change you must change the petrol pump , or attach one directly near the engine...
When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??
1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?
2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?
3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?
You have either put the batteries in wrong or you have lost programming, see the dealer if you are 100% sure the new batteries where not installed incorrectly. What about the spare key???
poss the fuel filter has petrol in it,replace filter, turn engine over with fuel line unattached to clear lines then fire up,should be fine.you may hve a hot start problem for awhile but fill up with diesel at 1/2 tank to dilute any petrol left.in 32 years in the trade i have put petrol in so many diesel cars, and as long as it starts, keep it running, and start only when cold ish.
have you checked to see if you are getting fuel or spark??
