May have to use the old school method. remove the plugs and rotate the engine manually
to top dead center indicated on the timing pulley, (this would be cylinder one)
then slowly rotate the engine with a breaker bar and socket.
and check the bores with a stick to see which comes up next ,then the next and so
on. (you could put a reference mark on the stick as the bore depths should
be the same ). This would at least verify whether the firing order is correct.

Toyota 4 runner 1994 6 cylinder i need to know what the firing order is and distributer cap.. is there a pic i can see please

153624 is the firing order , take our No. one spark plug, turn engine over till compression is felt, turn engine till mark on crank pulley lines up with mark on timing cover, this is No. one on compression stroke, the distributor rotor must now be pointing to No. one on the cap, note the way the rotor moves , clock wise or anti clock wise following the movement fit the plug wire to No. 1 on the cap and No one cylinder ,next No, 2 on the cap to No,5 cylinder and so on.

I am looking for a wiring diagram and plug order on engine for a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Ssport 4.0 6cylinder 4x2 4 door

Starting at the front of the engine, the plugs are 123456. The order on the distributor is 153624 clockwise. Number one on the distributor is the tower that points towards the right front headlamp, usually the second tower clockwise from the front screw that holds the cap to the distributor.

Looking for the distributor firing order for a 1935 gm 206 engine. I know the firing order is 153624 but I need the distributor pattern

I don't have any info back that far but here is a way you can sort it out. With the valve cover off, watch the valves on #1 piston, should be the front one, as you turn the motor over. As the piston comes around towardsTDC the intake will open and close and as you go past TDC the exhaust will open. Just back the engine up toward TDC which will be when your timing marks are lined up and where your rotor button is pointing at that time is your #1 wire. As you turn the motor over to line up #1 take note of which way the distributor turns and you can wire from #1 once you find it.
The crank turns twice to once of the camshaft so if the valves don't open in the proper order the first time keep turning. They should next time. Hope this helps.
