My 2008 Toyota Camry makes clicking noises in front wheel(s) when performing light breaking at stop signs, driveways, parking ect..... You can feel the clicking in your feet and pedals. About 7months ago there were new pads installed and the routers were machined. Any Ideas? Regards, Danmar

Sounds crazy…but check your brake pads. I’ve seen a lot of pads shift ever so slightly back and forth in the caliper bracket.
This makes a clicking sound that can resonate through the car and can be felt in the brake pedal.
Test it by moving the car forward then backwards then forward than backwards. This will move the pads if they are not snug.
This should create the clicking sound.

SOURCE: Toyota Camry 2000, break problem inconsistent

Could be a number of things. A lot of times the ABS sensors at the wheels get dirty. This is due to them being magnetic and a lot of brake pads are semi metallic so the dust sticks to the sensors and makes them fuction a little weird. Have someone clean the sensors. I try to pressure wash them everytime I wash the car. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 2001 corolla parking brake light on . Rear brakes making a rubbing noise

I would think that your parking brake cables and/or the park brake pivots may be seized. It appears that your rear brakes are being kept on by one or both of the abovementioned problems.

SOURCE: Break pedal

No, you will probably need to bleed the breaks.

SOURCE: Problem with break caliber and pedal and rotor 99 corolla

you might have a froze caliper piston, he is asking for all of that because whenever you change a caliper out you dont just want to change the caliper but do the brake job while you are there because more than likely the rest of your brakes are worn as well and if you just do the caliper you will damage you brakes more because of uneven wear sometimes a caliper gets locked up from extreme wear on pads past limit, he is actually saving you money in the long run. now as far as price it doesnt take much to change a caliper out, if you pinch off the line hooking directly to that caliper and unhook it along with the two bolts, all you have to do is put the new one in and pump the brakes back up and then bleed them to ensure all air is out of brake system, and depending on make and model, bleed them starting from furthest wheel from master cylinder....in other words you should be able to find a better price cheaper considering they want to replace the rotors instead of resurfacing them so that is alot less time to just replace them it is merily just parts changing, I hope i could help

SOURCE: maint required light just came on .....2008 toyota

The maintenance required light lets you know its time for an oil change. Once the oil is changed the light can be reset. The light will usually blink for a few seconds as you approach the 5,000 mile mark and then stay on steady as the 5,000 mile mark is reached or surpassed.

A bumping noise in the steering wheel when you turn it

caused by the power steering pump, a small price to pay to pay for light steering at slow speed.
you'll find most cars with steer assist tend to make some additional noise when the pump is being called on.... if the pump is faulty and eventually gives in, the worst that'll happen is being stubborn (heavy) to turn slow corners or while parking.

I got a 2000 Toyota Camry LE that has started making a rattling noise when the drivers front tire encounters and bump/potholes, etc. I was thinking possibly the c.v. joint is bad? Is there any other...

check the sway bar links and mounting brackets, ball joints, tie rods, ect. . A cv joint (usually) will make noises on hard turns like in parking lots, on the gas.

Whenever i apply pressure to my breaks every time im approaching a traffic light or stop sign, i immediately hear a clicking noise. i dont feel anything in the pedal so im confused.

It is most likely the brake pads are worn out,if the clicking is from the front,if it is in the rear pull the wheels and check the brake shoes, there may be some hardwear that has came apart inside the drum.

the rod you mentioned is called linkage, yes it's posible, snow may have jammed up under the car and is stopping it from properly engageing, or the grinding could be internal in the transmition, jack the car up, put jack stands under the frame, block the tiers, and take a real good look at were the linckage conects to the tranny, good luck

1991 toyota camry front drivers side makes noise while driving

It's the left front wheel bearing. Take it to your favorite mechanic if you have one, any good tech can do it, but he/she could run into complications with a car of that age. (The hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the knee bone, etc, and there's probably a good share of corrosion down there).

Cracking or breaking sound when turning mainly when parking

I doubt it. I heard the same noise from my old Accord when the CV boot was going out. If you heard breaking from the drive shaft I believe the next thing you'd see is it rolling down the street. If the drive shaft were making that sound you would not be able to continue driving.
