What year is the Mustang? It does sound like the factory keyless entry module and the clicking is a relay inside of it. In order to disable the clicking, you would need the factory keyless entry remote or the aftermarket alarm system would have to be correctly wired to the vehicle's alarm disarm wire. A professional stereo shop would be able to handle this for you.

Need reset security does not have keyless entry

THIS WORKS ONLY ON FACTORY SYSTEM ONLY NOT AFTER MARKET OR DEARLER INSTALLED SYSTEM
. Find the RED / GREEN (-) wire located in the "25 PIN" Plug at the Driver Kick Panel / Door Harness.
Ground the RED / GREEN (-) wire.
This will DisArm the Factory Alarm until the Ground is removed.
OR
You can try (does not always work):
Be sure battery is fully charged
Disconnect Negative Battery Cable
Open Driver Door & LEAVE Open
Turn Ignition Switch ON & LEAVE On
Reconnect Negative Battery Cable
Alarm may sound for a few seconds
Start vehicle

My aftermarket alarm won't disengage

If the alarm isn\'t hooked to the ignition (The vehicle will still start when the alarm is going off). Just look under the dash for a black box usually about the size of a deck of cards. Unplug the harness and you will have deactivated the alarm. If there is a starter interrupt you\'ll need to dig deeper. Near the ignition switch harness there would be a Green/Red wire (Ignition) and a red wire (Starter). There is often a T-Tap connection to the ignition wire while the starter wire would be cut and routed to the alarm brain (Black box). Simply unplug the t-tap connection from the ignition wire and restore the connection to the starter using a connector.

Most stereo shops would be able to resolve the issue. Our store charges only $35 for a basic alarm removal.

Best of luck. Ben

2000 ford expedition wont start. Had after market alarm disconnected

This truck has a factory security system, why would another one be installed?? There is no way to know where the wiring was tapped into for the aftermarket alarm, so just get under the dash and trace the wires is all That I can suggest, remove the steering column covers to access the switch is necessary..

Jump the vehicle, if it starts then the problem is a dead cell in the battery if it doesn't there is a problem in the vehicle security system. If you have an after market alarm installed you can disconnect the power wire to that alarm and that will disable the starter kill switch and allow the vehicle to start.

Ignition key and alarm problems: starting

Doesn't by opening the hood, that will disarm the alert system? Is it factory installed system? Try removing the fuse for the alarm system (near the system box - probably around the brake light switch). There must be a crossed wire somewhere.
