Air will not blow out of the panel vents on any setting, instead it blows out of the floor vent and defrost vents
I have the same problem. I could never get a solution from here. I checked the vacuum lines and everything else that people suggested. I finally pulled the air ducts from under the middle of the dash. I could then see where the vacuum lines hooked to the directional doors for the air. I just switched the line going to the defrost and put it on the one for the vents. I then put the one for the vents on the defrost. I have not had a problem since. The AC blows out the vents like it is suppose to. And the defrost still works too! I think a switch or relay has gone bad but I can't figure out where. This works for me though and it did not cost anything but a little time.

its a problem with the switching mechanism. you have to look up under the dash to see if you can see where the switching mechanism is. if you can not see it from there youll have to remove complete center dash

The door in the heater box is most likely stuck. It is located under the dash on the passenger side

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

Is it a new vehicle? I had a new vehicle that had the same problem. Answer was that the holes weren't punched out of the vent.

Not a chance, it would have never worked because the actuators and HVAC stuff behind the dash is impossible to drop something in (unless a mechanic opened the hvac actuators up and spent the time to get there and left something behind - highly unlikely!). The vents have a bunch of tubing that even if you opened up a vent and dropped something down it would not block all the dash vents.
