Check windowshied wiper motors after you turn on head lights and everything else...if window wipers dont work then its the battery going dead. try trickle charging the battery! make sure battery is not more than three years old, if it is, don't waste your time, its due for replacement anyway. if everything works then it could be wiring from the ignition key system or its been security locked out...that means the car thinks its been stolen and shuts the fuel system off. you can try to dissconnect the battery for about 15 minites then hook it back up to see if will start again.

It's either the battery hasn't got enough voltage in it to start the engine or possinly the starter motor has gone. try jump starting it. DO NOT connect the earth lead to the battery as it can damage the computer/ecu. instead attach the earth lead to an engine mount when trying to jump start the car.

1997 nissan pathfinder will turn over but won't

Sounds like you have a short in your wiring sucking up your electricity before it goes to the starter. Check for shorts near thye main relay box and in it.

No power

There is a park/neutral switch by the transmission. Make sure the connector is connected otherwise your car won't start. This switch only allows you to start in park or neutral. If not connected the car thinks you are in some other gear trying to start.

The car won't start; lights, ac, radio etc come on but car won't turn over or even click; checked battery cables; put different battery in; still won't start

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

Electrical problem

The gas guage is the sending unit in the fuel tank, the other issues are caused by a defective BCM, body control module.
