yeah , the fluid needs to be checked, the dealer needs to pull the plug and check the levels and fill it accordingly, it my need to have a fluid change also. it sounds like a shift solenoid, but i would have the fluid checked out first.
it may be a turbocharger if so equipted, lots of turbocharged cars whistle as the unit gets older..only other thing I can think of is something with the exhaust system.. get it looked at by putting the car up on a lift and inspecting it..now some cars also whistle thru the radio ..this is called alternator whine and is usually correected by a filter in the power line of the radio...good luck
It's a step-by-step process. If it only happens on acceleration then it is a drivetrain problem. Start verifying from the outer cv joints and go in from there
More than likely you are having an engine missfire. They are reknowned for problems with the coil packs that produce the spark for the plugs. They it up the road and labour the engine until it does it on full throttle. then back of the throttle to see if it stops. |Then back on to see if it starts again. Most likely it will. Change the plugs first. this will probably cure it short time as new plugs reduce the load on the coil packs. Best change coil packs though also. Cheers John
check the engine mounts and drive shafts for play in them. think on that year it may have a balance weight on a drive shaft check this is not lose, these can cause intermittent vibrations or shudders.
