While driving, I had no fuel pedal responce, pulled over engine died. Was told MAF bad replaced still no start. Had diag.done said ecm bad replaced still no start. Engine spins, tries to start and exhaust smells like gas engine does when it needs tuneup.

They are a heap and generally disliked. Try cleaning the Throttle Body and the MAF (mass air flow sensor). It also sounds like a new exhaust would be a good idea. They make a difference to the engine management if holed.
Fuel pressure regulator bad. Vacuum operated , pull the vacuum line. Smells like fuel. It's bad .Electronic could a fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail or the fuel pump control module.
P0135 bank 1 sensor 1 open or short in wires, bad connections, bad sensor ,or bad ecm. P0141 bank 1 sensor 2 same diag as P0135. P0420 cat below threshold open or short, or faulty Ho2s sensors.you may have several problems. start with sensors circuit if good change sensors if not trace to ecm if reading not right replace ecm if all good replace sensors clear codes retest drive two drive cycles for cat to clear tests. then with no dtcs present test fuel pressure , injectors, then ignition system ,timing valves ,map, maf sensors, throttle sensor, crank sensor cam sensor, compression.
Have the TPS (Throttle Position Switch) checked with a milli-volt meter, it seems like it is not working properly or is dead. if it is not working it won't send a signal to the ECM (Computer) to let it know how much the accelerator pedal is being depressed so it cannot know how much give fuel and air to give the engine. Also have the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor checked.
I have seen alot of problems with the MAF (mass airflow meter) on these engines . Also make sure you do not have any cracks in the hose between the MAF and the engine and that all the hoses are connected. It will not run right with any air leaks between the MAF and engine. If there is not any cracks or hoses disconnected then you probably need a MAF. Try cleaning it first with some MAF cleaner spray. You can purchase it at any parts store.
your fuel filter might be old and clogged. try replacing it. if it is and not enough fuel can get through, the engine will stall when you let more air in (step on the gas pedal).
Probably MAF. Mass air flow sensor, or idle control system/ sensor.
I have actually heard of some people having this problem because of a faulty heat sending unit, which doesn't show up on scan, but i'm still betting on the MAF. Good luck, let me know what you find.
Clean the inside of the MAF sensor with MAF spray, it is made by CRC corp, a MAF will in most cases not set an engine code which turns on the check engine light.
year, make, model, engine size?
