    wel.. i dont even know how to set the alarm. and when i turn my key to lock it , the alarm comes on. n when i unlock it, the alarm goes off, n it takes 5 min to turn it off by turning the key back and forth. but now that my alarm is on, i cant unlock my other doors, even from the inside. i dont know wu the hell is goin on with it

    1998 Nissan Altima - just replaced the battery and when we hook it up the car alarm won't shut off!

Not sure if this will help but we have same problem on our 2003 beetle i,ve just been told theres a switch by the seat belt or b piller at the bottom that will disable the alarm but you have to do it everytime you lock the door

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

I replaced a battery in my 2001 pontiac montana n the lights started blinking as if the alarm was going off.i hit the unlock n lock button n the blinking stopped. i have power,lights n radio but van wont...

Factory security system intermittently going off. Wondering if it is a bad sensor or switch. Does the door LED flash a code? 8 long flashes followed with normal short flashes.

I disconnected the battery when I reconnected the battery the alarm keeps going off
If a aftermarket alarm then disconnect it ,these auto remote start alarm things are useless and all go wrong with age

Car alarm keeps going off
Is the switch in the center counsole switched to off? It should be. Alarm will still work but will work normal. If you have an owners manual it will tell you about the alarm settings. 3 different settings.
I had same problem with a 93 Pathfinder. If switch is off, everything works fine.

it's a simple problem because the alarm set button on the fob is where you grip to start the car. start the car, arm the alarm! just hold the front and back of fob not sides when turning it.

Check your car battery. Many alarm systems during that mfg year relies on voltage sensors to trigger the alarm.. When a battery is old the standing voltage can vary enough to trigger the alarms resting voltage range.. keep in mind there are sensors in your seat too that is part of the seatbelt system that works on voltage. check both the battery and voltage sensor of the alarm
