I had the exact same problem in a truck I bought that had 60,000 miles on it. I installed new tires, alignment, new brakes and machined rotors, all with no luck. I also went as far as trying to analyze the problem with vibration equipment from my work, again with no luck. I took it to a garage where they put it up on a hoist with all 4 wheels in the air, and they couldn't pinpoint the problem. Eventually the garage ended up putting a new front axle in the truck and the problem was gone. The problem is inside the front axle, possibly bearings or the initial setup itself. The axles are not worth tearing down yourself because they are worth about $1200 and only about 2 hours to install a new one. If you are under warranty, do not let this go. I have taken this truck to Florida from Ontario with the new axle, no problems, and have since added about 30,000 miles and it's working good.

I have a 97 gmc sierra 1500 4x4, it runs very nice the only thing is when i reach 40 mph, there is a slight vibration or shake. it seems to only happen between 40-45 mph, it runs perfect before 40mph and...

There are several things to consider, first I would check the tire balance. Then I would go to the front alignment. If you have trouble on one side or the other you may just have a bad tire.

2006 gmc 2500 vibration around 60 mph stops when I let off gas

Usually a vibration is due to one or more parts that have become worn or damaged. I'm not sure why you mentioned the tires but don't disregard them unless you know that they are fine. Check for correct inflation (on the door jam), for uneven tread wear, or bubbles and damage.
Other things that can cause a vibration is the front-end needing an alignment, a tire that is unbalanced, worn out steering components (like a wheel-bearing), defective u-joints and/or an unbalanced drive-shaft, or low gear-oil level in the drive-axle can cause damage to the ring & pinion gear. The damage would primarily be on one side. So when you let off the gas pedal the sound goes away. Check as much as you can and let me know how it is going.

Front End Rattling in 2006 Pontiac Pursuit

Sounds like a body weld issue ( as this is a unitized body design). Several US GM models prone to this. No real good cure.

Front end and steering wheel shakes

Most common problem would be tires are out a balance. Or, the tires are out of round ( meaning the tires have a hop to it; not completely round ).
