The cassette player is a separate unit from the cd/radio unit. In your case either this unit is not powered or it has failed.
The only way to find out what happened is to remove it from the dash and test it: start by finding out if power is coming into it - if not check the fuse situated on the power wire; then open the unit and check the internal power switch for correct functioning; finally check the internal power converter/stabilizer - the one that regulates the power for the processor of the unit. If all are ok then the processor jas failed - that means that the cd/radio unit is dead. Time for a new one.

Used isuzu radio/cd/cassette will not work in my vehichle, does it need a code?

Hi,
If it works @ all it doesn't need a code - it's a bad CD player.

Where can I find the fuses for the radio? The CD player stopped

the cd player and radio should be on the same system or as a whole, it should all be not working, there may have been a short inside the cd player, check all the fuses in the fuse box look for 10amp and 15 amps usually. being a newer car it is odd. you may need to take it in to toyota for a diagnostic check. good thing about the electrics in cars these days is their computers tell you everything.

Acura tl cd player doesn't work, radio and cassette player work

Try this as the stereo may need to be reset- If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

99 olds Intrigue factory CD player problem

I am not sure about repairing the unit. Do you have a CD cleaner?
You might check with a reputable auto electronics shop, one that specializes in car audio. They may have an adapter that will allow an aftermarket radio to be controlled from the steering wheel. Rosen makes a nice am/fm/cd/dvd navigation unit that also has XM and iPod inputs. The hard part will be to find supporting interfaces and wiring harnesses to fit a 99.
