Hello. Check the latch itself and the matching piece on the boot lid. If one is loose or slightly out of alignment it will cause the troubles you are describing. Also, check the entire gasket. Joe

SOURCE: Hi, My cars central locking

Replace Fuse 27 in main fuse box located under the hood black box in far right corner. Then try reseting your battery. Make sure to follow these steps as follow. Unhook the - then + of the battery. Clean both the negative and postive of the battery. Next go under the hood far right and replace Fuse 27 which is 15 type fuse green in color. Wait 20 minutes for reset of the computer then attach the + and - cables back to the battery.

SOURCE: Central locking on w210

Can you please re-ask this questions?

First, you said the button Unlocks the Car and then say it Won't?
Second, The lock/unlock does not control the Courtesy lights, there is a Time delay but now here is the kicker....

Does the Courtesy lights come on when you use the FOB ?

If they do, they you have a problem with the Button or the Button Controller or a wire.

Third, I am not sure what Button you are talking about on the REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS? Are you talking Head Rests? I have never heard of as HEAD RESTRAINT

Hi There, Newbie here... I have a mercedes benz E230 W210 (1996 model). Front inidcator lamps are gone and I cannot find them!! Opened the housing through the bonnet and checked but I can only find the H7...

The bulb holders are the smaller, usually white, twist locks directly above the large black headlight cover. It's tucked under the cross bar the bonnet catch bolts to. If there is no bulbs in there you will need the orange coated ones. If none of the indicators work check the fuses and the relay as well. When I press the power door lock button, the only door that will open is the driver's door. The other three doors remain locked

you have to press the unlock button twice, the first push opens the drivers door, the second unlocks the rest of the doors.

Programing a remote on a 99 quest

first make sure, that the batter is ok. You will need to have both remotes while doing this.
1: get in and lock the doors with the power door lock
2: insert the key into the ignitoin repeatedly IN and OUT 6 times in a row or just keep doing so, until the hazard flashers flash on the dash board (observe the dash board while inserting key)
3: after the hazadrs flash TURN key into the ACC position/not start.(dash will light up) DO NOT START
4: with the key in ACC position, hit lock button on the remote. That will program that remote.
5: to program the other remote simply unlock the door with the door lock switch and relock it with the swithc and hit the other remote button.
6: done

Door Locks

Sounds like you have an electric lock actuator going bad. It only takes one and they all act up.The vehicle security module and the switches share the same ground. It is ground #900. Located on the left C pillar. Check to see if the ground is clean and tight. You can disconnect one actuator at a time. If you disconnect the bad one, the rest will function.Did you have any doors making a loud grinding noise when the locks were applied?if yes, start with that one. If no, start with the drivers door. The drivers lock actuator sees more work than the rest since it unlocks by itself on the first push of the remote. If this is something you do not want to do,try the find a repairman option at the bottom of the page. If you need more help, don't hesitate to drop a line.Good Luck

Ford galaxy central loking failure problem?

Hi kifixya!

The doors lock automatically at road speed and must be unlocked with the unlock switch before they will open (with the exception of the driver's door). This is how they were designed to work.

To unlock all doors with the remote keyless entry, hit the button twice (like double-clicking a mouse); the first unlocks the driver's door; the second push unlocks the remaining doors.

Hope this answers your request, andgood luck!
