My 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue wont start it was hard 2 start 4 months and now it wont start

    I replace battery and the alternate is good it start sometimes and it don't. Now car wont start at all

    It's in Security Mode, put the key in and turn it to the on position, your security light should start blinking keep in the on position for ten minutes until the the light stops blinking. Then turn it off and it will start.

If it is not cranking, you must check for battery voltage, if it is cranking you must check for ignition (spark) and verify fuel pressure and fuel delivery to the cylinders.

If you check your battery cables they might be dirty with acid also the starter wire might be loose on the starter if u get a screw driver and turn your key on cross the starter out it might start that way if it does then that means u might need a starter hope it helps

Exsseved cranking to start motor 2-3 seconds then starts
Crank sensor is going out, I have a 2000 Intrigue and that is classic symptoms, it will eventually not start. Not that difficult to change.

Check your manual if you have it. I believe you need to have the key in the ignition in the ON position for about 10 minutes to reset the security system.

2000 INTRIGUE WONT START!!
r u referring to cranking the engine takes 5 times to get it to turn over then if the case u need a new starter motor as the unit has a bad spot on the armature or the starting solenoid disc is burnt and finally gets full connection. Othetr than that u may have a broken tooth or 2 on ur flywheel.

it is common for the ignition switch key sensor barrel assmebly needs to be replaced and reprogrammed. the sensor fails as car gets older.

Problem hard starting Olds 1999 Intrigue 3.8L engine

2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue with unique starting problems
A common cause for this, asuming no check engine light, is a leaking fuel ressure regulator. When they fail, they leak fuel into the vacuum line causing a very rich condition- basically flooded.
