Question about 1999 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

My headlights randomly both shutoff at the exact same time. However, the first time to fix the issue all I did was tap the outside of the headlight and they turned back on. I was hoping you could send me a fuse box diagram, as well as any other possible insights. Thank you. Toyota Camry 1999

The user manual that accompanied the vehicle has a diagram in it detailing where the fuse box is located (one inside vehicle under dash in footwell area) and another under the hood. If tapping the light there made it come back on, then you have have a more serious issue with either the bult or wiring. Open the hood and wiggle the wire harness where it connects to the rear of the beam assembly.

I recently started experiencing electrical problems with my Chevy Prizm (2001). Basically, one morning, I attempted to start it up, and then let it run for a couple of minutes. When I lowered the parking...

This just happened to my Prizm. We found a short in a ground connector, behind the driver's side kick panel. We cut the grounds and soldered them together. That fixed the engine dying issue, but the headlights won't go off. The DRL is apparently dead. I have to plug it in when I need headlights, and then turn on the switch. I'm looking for a used DRL right now.

Headlights not working on lo beam

Headlights usually use a relay and possibly yours is not working right. Relays can have be sticky in that the contacts won't close or otherwise the relay coil is not getting voltage to close the contacts.
