These problems may or may not be related. The Check coolant light means that the coolant level in your radiator is low. If you have checked it and it is not low, then the sensor is most likely defective. The low coolant sensor will not turn the Check Engine light on - even if the coolant really is low. There are many things that can cause the Check Engine light to come on. You will have to scan your Engine Computer to find out why it has been turning the light on.

I did have a problem on one of these cars one time where the Check Engine light was coming on and there were several codes for the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) and the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and the car ran really bad. The Check Coolant light was also on. After checking it out I found that the coolant level sensor was shorting out the 5 volt reference circuit (VREF) from the computer and causing the whole problem. Replacing the coolant level sensor fixed the car.

The low coolant light comes on when the sensor in the overflow bottle is not submerged in coolant you should check the level of that and determine if you have a leak somewhere the service engine light flashing means a misfire or emissions problem you can easily go to a autozone and get the code pulled

Low coolant and service engine soon lights are on. Is this a sensor problem I had to replace the thermostat as it stuck closed and the engine overheated.

Your coolant could indeed be low. Double check the level. Often when the cooling system appears to be full, it drops when the thermostat opens and the coolant flows into the engine.

My service engine soon light came on yesterday and minutes before that my low coolant light came on & when the service engine light came on it felt like it was misfiring for a moment but it runs fine...

First, add coolant to your reservoir and radiator if needed. (Should turn "Low Coolant" light off) Second, go to Advanced Auto, ask for a OBD II meter to clear the "Service Engine Soon" light (Their free to use). Third, might have water in your gas tank. Get some "HEET" and put it in your gas tank. Until the water is gone, you might have to clear the light more than once.

Heat not working and service engine light on

Many times no heat is the result of low coolant which means there isn't enough to properly flow through the heat core. Check the coolant level. If you're running hot it could also be from low coolant. If the coolant level is normal you may very well have a stuck thermostat. If you do have low coolant the next step is to find the reason why it's low.

Did you pull the codes yet?

Very rough idle and low rpm and flashing service engine light.

Don't think it's major could be any number of sensors. Any autozone will run a free scan and point you in the right direction.

Flahing service engine light soon and engine began shaking

Yep 20 seconds on a machine turning 650 rpms is low on oil wil destroy the bearings in the pistons and crankshaft. Mechanics refer to the red check engine light as the idot light, because by that time it's to late the car ran low on oil and damaged the engine.Try putting some SPT oil treatment in and see if it will fix it temporally otherwise you may be looking for a engine overhaul. If the yellow check engine light is flashings you may have burned the rings up on the pistons and it is now burning oil, or more oil causeing it to throw a code for the 02 sensor. Good luck
