You need to take it an have a factory or professional scanner hooked up an have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . All the electronic's on your vehicle , control module's , communication networking etc... Is the first place to start a diagnostic procedure . A factory scanner can check for DTC'S in all the modules on the vehicle , not just OBD 2 engine code's . Your vehicle has 15 to 20 different control module's . All light's are controlled by the SJB - smart junction box , ford's body control module . Do you know anything about automotive electronic's ?

SOURCE: brake lights and turn signals

I had this same problem on a 1995 Lincoln Towncar -- thought I might have to replace the Signal Switch - then it was suggested to check the ground for this wiring. However I was told to check the HAZARD SWITCH. The Hazard Switch was not On or Off it was stuck in the middle. Simply pushing it up and down correct the problem. I was also told that maybe a little WD40 on the HAZARD SWITCH might help.

This is an easy try me first fix. It worked for me and cost 0.

SOURCE: good fuses no turn signal

I believe your car has 2 flashers, one hazard, one turn signal. Check the turn signal flasher to see if it's bad. Located driver side, upper steering column under dash. To make sure u check the correct flasher, try using the hazards after removal of flasher, so u know u have removed the correct one. Let me know how u do.

I know this may seem a little stupid but when something electrical stops working, the first thing you should always do is check your fuses.

SOURCE: 1998 Lincoln Town Car: No turn signals, 4 way flash, brake lights

If only your brake light in middle of rear window works then your other bulbs are bad. If brake lights all work in the back than bulbs are good. If you put turn signal on right or left and the bulbs light in front and back then you need to change multifunction light control box under dash. My understanding is it cost $600 new. So I would try used.

I have a 2008 Saturn Aura and my radio wont turn on... I checked all of the fuses and none of them are blown but I still have no power to my radio

DId you pull the radio out of the dash and check for battery voltage at the connectors pluged into the back of the radio ? Check battery voltage with a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter . There are things here you probably will not have a clue about .

Radio Circuit Operation
Radio Power
The radio is supplied power by a fused B+ circuit. The radio does not use a discrete ignition feed circuit for power moding. The power mode master (PMM) provides the system power mode to the radio via serial data messages. The PMM determines the system power mode by processing power mode information from ignition switch inputs. Serial data power modes supported by the radio are OFF, ACCESSORY, RUN, and CRANK REQUEST. The power mode master is the BCM - body control module .

Radio Data Link Communication
The radio communicates with other modules via serial data.

The first thing to do would be hook up a factory or someother type professional scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes

Security light on dash & radio in "locked" mode

The security light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM. (Theft Deterrent Module) The TDM is what tells your computer that the correct key is being used and that it is "OK" to allow the vehicle to start and run. These 3 parts must be in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending important signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, (normally due to a failing/broken part) the car goes into antitheft mode. The car misinterperates this and thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is NOT getting that signal from YOUR specific key. There is where the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. So basically, if that light is on, your system has some sort of failing part. This can start as an intermittent "no start", to your vehicle not running for days at a time, to the vehicle NEVER starting again. The problem is electrical and computer based, so don't count on an easy reset button, or the problem fixing itself. The hard part is isolating which part is the problem. You can spend a thousand dollars through a mechanic very easily. I have had great luck with bypassing the entire system. This way the problem will never return. It actually CAN'T ever return because it is eliminated. This can also be done yourself at a much cheaper cost. Read through this link very carefully. You'll find alot of information and pictures, along with ways to help you fix this.

Where is the turn signal flasher on a 1995 Chevy Silverado?

On my 95 Chevy 1500, the 4way flasher is located in fuse panel on firewall driver side under dash. To get to the turn signal flasher, remove the bottom dash panel and the entire ash tray compartment. I also removed the cup holder unit to allow light. The turn signal flasher was located just below the the radio and AC area. Mine was wrapped in tape from the factory, but if you turn the turn signals on you will feel the vibration and be able to locate it from the sound.
