You should have your belts checked for proper tension. If they're squeaking when the engine is at a low RPM then they are most likely loose and need to be tightened. However, that squeak may also be an indication that one of the tensioners in the belt's line may be wearing down. If that is the case the tensioner will need to be replaced since the bearing inside is worn down beyond the point where lubrication would be useful.

2000 porsche boxster has a buzzing ? noise near the gas cap. this only happens at idle after being driven for a little while once i accelerate the noise goes away

Sounds like a air vent problem.next time it does it loosen the gas cap slowly and you should hear a whoosh of air. Get a new gas cap. If that is not it you have a problem with the fuel emissions tank on the frame or under the hood.

Squealing noise when I accelerate. Goes away completely when I brake. I may be wrong, but it sounds like it is coming from the back tire area? Definitely NOT under hood. I have a 05' Suburban. Thanks!

sounds like your brakes are getting bad you probably have rotors on the back and your back brakes will have the little chirpers i call them they make a noise when your brakes are needing to be changed, hope this helps.

The engine in my automatic '91 Integra intermittently makes a loud squeaking noise...it sounds to be coming from the left side of the car under the hood. It is not the fan/fan belt, as the noise...

are you sure its not your fan belts? because if fan belts are not turning, it means that the engine is off. check if the tension in your fan belts are still ok. if not, have it re tensioned. if noise is still present, have it changed.

When I first start my truck I can hear a loud rattling sound coming from the back. Hear this sound also when I am in idle. Don't notice it when I pick up speed.

Check to see if one of your brackets holding the exhaust pipe has come loose. That'll make a rattling sound - especially if it towards the end by the tailpipe. When you're accelerating - more air is forced thru your exhaust at a faster rate, so it's not moving as much as when you're sitting still and the truck is just at an idle with less air/exhaust moving thru the tailpipe. If it's only making the noise while the truck is stationary & the noise stops one the truck is moving - that pretty much rules out anything to do withe the drive-train or suspension. You are sure the noise is from the back & not coming from under the hood? If under the hood - check your oil level ASAP.

I drove my 97 blazer yesterday and ran the a/c. It did not run cold but was cool. After getting back from my 4 hour drive, I went home and let it sit for a couple hours. When I went back out to start...

Probably the compressor causing the belt to squeak. Try spraying just a squirt of wd40 on the drive side of the belt. It the noise goes away, its the belt. If not, its the compressor drive.

Steady squeaking noise after taking foot off accelerator

sounds like you have a pad rubbing on a disk/rotor, if you jolt the brakes does the noise go away? if so it's probably a pad loose

Smoke around belt

the smoke is coming from the belt because a part has stopped turning ...you need to check which one it is... it could be the water pump...alternator ..a/c compressor...... power steering pump or the belt tensioner.... and your going to need a new belt

Smoke around belt and sparks on Pulley holding belt

Most likely AC clutch assembly. Have it checked & unplug wires to it, if necessary, to use temporarily, so that clutch doesn't engage.
