I have a 02 Accent with a p1529 code. NONE of my mechanics have any idea what this code is or my trans guys. This is my only code as I just replaced my output speed sensor and this one stupid code is making it fail inspection. How do I fix it?

Its not the wheel speed sensor, it's the transmission module saying there is an issue relating to the transmission, speed sensors, etc.

The code is related to the right front wheel speed sensor . possibly a bad wheel speed sensor or broken wire or faulty connection ....you may look behind the fender shield to inspect for broken or damaged wire or connector .... a good starting point

2000 hyundai accent with error codes p0717 and p1529

P0717 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit No Signal
P1529 - Customer Snap Shot Request

  • NOTE_P1529 is a generic code which is issued by the TCU to tell the ECU to turn on the CEL. It means nothing by itself and is usually included with other TCU codes.

Need to know what these codes mean for hyundai accent P1529, P1404, P0722

P1529- TCM MIL request signal failure
P1404- DTML Heater circuit failure
P0722- ATM Output speed sensor no signal

All these together indicate a possibly cut wiring harness failure, or other major circuit issue.

My check engine light came on today and I stopped at a local garage. They ran a diagnostic that showed error P1529 / VIA CAN. Can you tell me what the problem is? All the notes on the web speak of just the...

Code P1529 sets in the ECM (Engine Control Module) to advise that the TCM (Transmission Control Module) requested the ECM to turn on the MIL (Malfuntion Indicator Light). What this means is there's a transmission code set in the TCM. You will need a manufacturer specific scan tool to pull Transmission codes and find out what's wrong with the trans. Some aftermarket scanners/code pullers only have the capability to pull Engine codes. -hope this helps

I have two codes showing on my daughters 2002 hyundai, P1529 and P0734. What should I look for to repair these problems

po 734 is transmission code, unfortunatly its not good, an internal failure, probably a kickdown servo failure, hyundai offers a reman trans, with a good warranty i would look into that, also they will give you a better diag and options on what you have, however if you are the original owner, and have proof of proper maintainance, the trans may be covered on the 10 year 100,000 mile power train warranty

I get a ''P1529'' error code, on our 2001 Hyundai Elantra, but cannot find what it is. Ron Hagler

this means that you have a fault code present in the Transmission control module (TCM), you need to have that module tested, the P1529 is just the engine computer telling you this code is present. here is the book difinition

02 accent sounds like it wants to turn off while driving

trust the guy who said the other guy was full of it, I doubt it is the timing belt at 72,000 miles, more likely the idle speed control motor needs to be cleaned or a you have a defective MAP or MAF sensor...

2002 hyundai accent codes p1529 and p0734

P1529 means nothing more than the TCM (transmission control module) has requested that the ECM (engine control module) turn on the check engine lamp.
P0734 basically indicates that your transmission is slipping.
You need to take this car to an authorized repair center for hyundai cars. Replacing the filter and fluid on the transmission might save this transmission but I would be willing to bet that a total transmission rebuild is in order.

Good Luck
