This will not harm plastic or degrade rubber. However, It could damage your paint. I would drain the washer reservoir and flush it with water. If you have used the washer with the anti-freeze, flush with water in the reservoir and spray the windshield to clean any residue out of the hose. Wash the car to prevent damage to the paint. If the windshield wiper streaks you may want to replace the windshield wiper blades.

It can do harm to seals (the alcohol in washer solvent) I'd flush cooling system and refill w/ new anti freeze.

What kind of leaks could come from the motor?

1. Coolant (anti-freeze water mix)

2. Oil

3. fresh water which has condensed on your air conditioner--this is harmless--seen mostly on hot humid days.

4. not exactly from the engine but from places near it:

transmission fluid

brake fluid

windshield washer fluid

These each have its own distinctive feel and smell, but it is too difficult to describe these in words.

The radiator warning light blinks red on startup, what kind of radiator fluid does the vehicle take? 2005 VW new beetle

VW have their own spec anti freeze/coolant, but any good quality upper market anti freeze can be used and some will even say that they are recommended by VW. Follow the directions on the container for mix and dilution.

Wiper fluid keeps freezing drained all old wiper fluid and put in rain x -25 and it still froze

Rain X should have alleviated the freezing problem assuming that you circulated enough of it through the tubing and through the nozzles before it froze again.

Maybe try to disassemble the nozzle and soak in the Rain X solution or warm water to unfreeze it.

Trace the piping or tubing to the place where the frozen water exists and eliminate the ice by warming it up.

You may take the whole vehicle to a heated garage and let it thaw out, then circulate the fluid by pushing the button or switch to operate the windshield wiper fluid pump.

My car BMW 318i 2000 model was parked for about 1.5 years without driving. the water pipes are bursting. first it was the plastic pipe on the engine and after replacing, the water tank on the side of the...

Is the water tank the windshield washer fluid or the radiator overflow tank??

If it is the washer fluid tank, fill it with "below 32F" type fluid. If it is the radiator over flow tank, it would appear to me that the radiator fluid is too watered down or weak and is not freeze resistant. The radiator fluid should be 50/50 mix of Prestone or other make of radiator fluid and water. This is to save your engine and radiator from bursting. Ice takes up move volume that water (this is why Ice floats on water). Inside of a pipe, radiator or engine block, this can be devisating. You could crack your radiator or engine block. Hopefully who ever serviced your car last used the correct fluid. You might want to get this checked before more damage happens to your car.

Hope this helps.

Mysterious 'bottle' in engine of Peugeot 205 (1990)

If there is a small black hose going from that to the radiator, that's for the anti-freeze coolant. That is a special anti-freeze called prestone dex-cool. It's not green like the regular stuff. Now, if the hose is running up toward the windshield, that's windshield washer fluid. Prestone de-ice, that's also colored, and not blue. Just got to make sure which is which.
