Pretty much any "EJ" transmission will fit any "EJ" engine, the only problems are whether the clutch is a pull or push type release bearing? That will also make a difference how the clutch slave cylinder mounts up. If it isn't a turbo model trans, it will not take the HP that the engine puts out for very long. The Impreza STI manual trans will bolt up, but there will be some exhaust fitment issues where the down pipe bracket connects to the trans.
all impreza recommends high ROM. although 99ron or 100ron is recommended, some uses unleaded for non-turbo and of course notice a sligth defference in performance using high ROM fuel. in your case is the reverse, means does't need to drain for a change.

Both are under the hood and easy to get to. As for the Air Filter nobody beats K&N they are simply the best. Any fuel filter thats the right one will do.
