My son left the dome light on all night. Replaced the battery. The truck starts but will not stay running. Ran perfect when I parked it.

find the door that is bad and remove cards and see the damage.

doors work ,key off. and if true, can short and drain any battery.
for emergency exit.
door switches bad. dome too switch, windows too and locks.
all that must be checked for good and bad
any shop can fix this, electrics,+ auto.

Batteries need to be kept full of juice. If you leave it the battery will start to run down. They have a big engine and a big battery to turn it over. You need to buy or borrow a battery charger and put it onto charge every couple of weeks for about 6 hours if you aren't driving the vehicle.

You may have a parasitic drain, but let's cross that bridge when we get there. If the interior light stays on, it is probably the door switch, or someone has fiddled with the switch on the dome light. That will run your battery down in about 3 days. Get the battery charged and keep it charged.

Those are 2 different problems. There is an electrical short from the dome light which would be draining your battery if its staying on all night. If the is also a miss from the motor u 1st have to find out what cylinder(s) are missing & then the cause. That can be clogged injectors, head gasket, emissions etc. .......... There are many possibilities for that. Have that one checked out. Good luck.

You need to ensure the engine is running when you are testing the AC or heating systems, as they rely upon a compressor to work the heat pump.

If your engine is on when you are testing this and no different temp air comes out, you should ensure your AC system is properly charged with coolant and that the compressor is engaging and functioning. If not, it will need to be replaced.

See if you can jump start the car from another battery which is sound. If you can then the battery you have is rubbish and must be replaced.

Wow, that's a lot of symptons you have there. But i think you may have a PCI bus communication problem. The PCI Bus system is a one-wire communication system. It allows the various modules (computers) on the vehicle to communicate with each other and share information. This information sharing reduces wiring complexity. Try this, disconnect the negative terminal form the battery for about 20-30 minutes, this is like rebooting a computer. Reconnect and check for symptons. I suggest trying this super simple fix first before doing complicated testing or parts replacements.

i must say that i feel your pain with this,, my door ajar light does the same thing but my dome light doesn't come on when the doors are open, i have to flick the switch on the dome light to make it come on. In my opion and i stress my opion it saounds like a issue with the body controller, im not sure what ford calls it but it controls all the body functions, i dont think the low coolant light is connected to the body contoller but i dont know this for sure, i think that light is controlled bny the engine ecm. some times a dealer can connect to the body controller and see if there are any fault codes for circuits that it controls and or monitors, also they can reflash or update the configeration and or calibration level cause ford release's fixes for issues all the time, same theory works for any control module on a vehicle. i dont think any of the auto parts stores have the right program to connect to bofy controlers but i could be wrong, worth looking into. i only put up with mine cause i use it as a beater, if you are worried about your dome light staying on and drianing your battery then you could pull out or disconnect the dome lights for the time being, its not a fix but just a band-aid.

try fittung a larger capacity battery this will help when you are parked for extended periods of time, but it does sound as if you have something draining the battery, try getting the alternater checked

have you not left any load on overnight?..like park light or left the door partially open and the dome light would be left on?

have the battery recharge and the next night, make sure that no light would be left on the car.

if it would drain out again, have it recharged again, use it and on the night, make sure no light is left on the car, then remove the positive pole on the battery overnight.

the next morning, put the positive cable back and start the car.

if the car would start, then no problem with the battery, if the car would not start, then return the battery because it is defective.
