Hi Jason, Sounds like you have a coil pack and one of your coils is faulty. To check which coil is faulty just pull a spark plug lead off a spark plug and plug the spark plug lead onto a SPARE spark plug, Now earth it to the CLEAN motor or body (make sure the spark plug is touching metal) Start the motor, it's going to run ROUGHER than usual but you'll see if that spark plug is sparking... If it sparks then that coil is good. Turn the motor off and replace the spark plug lead back on to the original spark plug. Repeat with the next spark plug lead and so on until you start your car and the spark plug doesn't spark, THAT'S YOUR FAULTY COIL...
3.7L Engines Each individual spark plug is located under each ignition coil. Each individual ignition coil must be removed to gain access to each spark plug. Refer to Ignition Coil Removal/Installation. Prior to removing spark plug, spray compressed air around base of ignition coil at cylinder head. This will help prevent foreign material from entering combustion chamber.
Remove spark plug from cylinder head using a quality socket with a rubber or foam insert.
Inspect spark plug condition.
To install:
Start the spark plug into the cylinder head by hand to avoid cross threading.
Before installing coil(s), check condition of coil o-ring and replace as necessary. To aid in coil installation, apply silicone to coil o-ring.
Tighten spark plugs to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque.
Install ignition coil(s). Refer to Ignition Coil Removal/Installation.

When was the last time the spark plugs where changed? It may be due for all the spark plugs to be changed. The spark plug gap is usually listed on the emissions sticker under the hood. It should be .050 - .056 or very close to that.

I am writing you the method on how to change sparkplugs, you may now have an idea where spark plug is loacted.
The Ford Expedition uses eight spark plugs to accommodateits eight-cylinder engine. Replacing the spark plugs every 75,000 miles is animportant part of overall vehicle maintenance.
1. Disconnectthe negative (black) battery cable from the battery terminal.
Remove thewiring harnesses from the spark plug coils. There will be four on each side ofthe engine block, which you can remove by simply pulling them out of the sparkplug coils.
2. Unscrew the 7mm bolt from each of the spark plug coils usinga socket wrench and 7mm socket.
3. Pull each spark plug coil out of the engine block. Pull themout slowly, being careful not to damage or tear the coils.
4. Use a socket wrench and spark plug socket to unscrew eachspark plug from the engine block. Once you remove these, discard them.
5. Place the new spark plugs into the engine block and tightenthem using the socket wrench and spark plug socket.
6. Slide the spark plug coils back into the engine block.
7. Bolt the spark plug coils back into place using a socketwrench and 7mm socket.
8. Reattachthe wiring harnesses to the spark plug coils.
9 . Connect the negative battery cable to the negative batteryterminal.

Remove all three ignition coils screws. 1.2.4. Remove all three ignition coils out from cylinder head. 1.2.5. Remove all three spark plugs out from cylinder head (straight forward).

REMOVAL Always remove the ignition coil assembly by grasping at the spark plug boot, turning the assembly 1/2 turn and pulling straight back in a steady motion.
Prior to removing the spark plug, spray compressed air around the coil area and spark plug.
Remove electrical connector from ignition coil.
On 3.5L engines, it is necessary to loosen the screws by alternating back and forth. Do not lose the spacers under the coil when loosening the screws.
Remove 2 fasteners from ignition coil.
Remove ignition coil assembly.
Remove the spark plug using a quality socket with a rubber or foam insert.
If it's the four cyl., the first coil pack bolts over the #2 spark plug. The #2 coil pack wire plugs into #3 spark plug. The number two coil pack bolts directly over the number four spark plug, and the #2 coil pack wire plugs into the #4 plug. The firing order is 1-4-2-3.
