Where would i find the cooling fan switch on a 1993 oldmobile 98 regency?

This 3.8 V 6 is at back engine under alternator ,remove alternator to easy get there,is hard to put back with alternator on.

i would suggest lookin in side the vents depending on the climate you live in a field mouse or some lil critter may have got in there to build a nest....i say this because i have seen it a many times in my career...good luck!!!

check fuses and fan relays first.there should be a temp sensor around the thermostat housing where the upper radiator goes in should have two wires jump them two together and see if they come on

Look at the side of the engine block above the oil pan just in front of fire wall.

This is what I found on the 98 Regency instructions: Crankshaft Damper REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the belts from the crankshaft pulley.
3. Remove the crankshaft damper attaching bolt.
4. Attach a suitable puller to the damper and remove the damper from the crankshaft. NOTE: On certain models, removal of the cooling fan, fan shroud or radiator may be necessary for clearance. WARNING
   DO NOT pry on the damper assembly to remove it from the vehicle or component damage will result. Remove the damper using a puller only.
   
5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Torque the damper bolt to specification. Fig. 1: One example of a crankshaft damper puller tool

how do you know freon is ok it sounds like it is low and the low pressure switch is cutting compressor off and back on

Well the fact that the traction light came on and blinked off when taking off is a good thing, it just means that your traction control is working properly. When that light comes on it means that one wheel was spinning and that the car adjusted the speed of the drive wheels to compensate. The car not starting needs to be addressed as to whether the car is turning over slowly, clicking, or making no noise at all. The check engine light will remain on until the vehicle is started, so that does not correlate to your problem. If it clicks, or turns over sluggishly, then it just needs a jump start and a test of the battery. If the lights come on, but the car does not turn over al all, then you may need to look at replacing a starter.

You need a blower motor resistor.

you may have a bad sensor. the part is easy to replace and your local parts store may carry it.
