The alternator on a Lincoln can be done as follows:: If you want to install a new alternator, do the following:
UNHOOK BATTERY! REMOVE THE WIRES FROM THE BACK OF THE ALTERNATOR! REMOVE THE BELT FROM THE ALTERNATOR! ON TOP WILL BE EITHER A 1/2 INCH, OR 9/16 BOLT ( REMOVE IT), THEN ON THE BOTTO, OF THE ALTERNATOR IS A 5/8 BOLT POSSIBLY WITH A NUT AND WASHER ON IT! REMOVE THAT AND PULL THE ALTERNATOR OUT! SOME HAVE A BUSHING BETWEEN THE ALTERNATOR AND THE MOUNT BRACKET! BE SURE NOT TO LOSE IT, IF IT IS THERE! YOU'LL NEED IT FOR THE NEW ALTERNATOR!
