Idels fine when driving it sometimes loses power and stalls if you rev the idel above 3000rpm it stops and runs fine till you stop or slow down the idel below 3000 rpm it shutters and stalls

run the fault codes as what you have done may not be the problem at all

The automatic idle control valve may have stopped working or the control module that operates it.

Hi, you need to firstly replace the fuel filter, the problem is the idle solenoid in the pump has dirt in the piston! From the passenger side of the engine remove the solenoid at the back of the fuel pump 2x 5mm Alan bolts, there is 2 solenoids in the pump the one closest to the block is fuel temp. After the idle solenoid is removed, in the solenoid is a piston held in place by a circlip and there is also a spring in there, clean out all dirt inside and reassemble replace both o'rings and reinstall your problem will be solved. I have just fixed one 2 days ago.

In general, yes. This is a carb tuning issue. Another possibility is a vacuum leak somewhere, but most likely, it's a carb issue. You'll typically see your rpm drop a bit when you put it in gear, but that it sometimes stalls out points to a carb issue.

Vacume leak or bad idle motor. With the car in park and running with the hood open listen for leaks moving your hand around the different hoses looking for a change in the sounds that you hear. The idel motor also makes the car idel up to 1500 RPM or so right at start-up then idel down, If it doesn;t the idel motor is likly. Check engine light is on when running? Test for codes, Follow code test charts don't skip any steps!.

i have a 1986 chevy corvette, when you fist start the motor it idel fine, when it wormes up, it ideling rough and RPM jumps up and down, and you can smell gas when you fist statrt it but there is no leaks,also when your driving about 45mph it puags down until you push it and then runs fine. please help me with this issue.

seems to me there may be a problem with the transmission, because you say it runs fine in neutral and dies when you put it in gear!!!
only logical thing if everything else you mentioned has been ruled out!!!

one test to do, on the spot rev the car at 3000rpm, if it overheats you have a radiator probem, blocked etc, if it still wont overheat and will only overheat while driving then water pump the problem, its not pushing enough water under load, i would advise check radiator first.

its vapor locking try leaving the fuel cap a little lose!!!!
