WOW, sorry it has taken so long for someone to see and respond to your question. You've probably figured it out on your own by now, but if not, here is your answer. The heater core in your Caprice is located behind the glove box. To gain access, you have to remove the lower right dash insulator panel (below the glove box) and than the glove box. Remove any vaccuum lines ( mark their locations.) Then remove the lower instrument panel brace and then the heater core cover. Remove the heater core clamp bolt and clamp. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core on the left hand side of the engine compartment( looking at the engine from the front of the car.) Then remove the heater core.

Where is the a\c evaporator core located for jeep cherokee?

The a.c.and heater cores that you speak of are inside the cabin behind the glove box. But that's the location, to access them the whole dash must be removed. its worth replacing a few problem parts once you open up the case that holds them, like both cores and the blend door

Leaking heater core

No, but you may get by just removing the passenger side, without taking the whole dashboard off. If what I looked up is correct its located near the glove box. Behind the dash. The hardest part of this job is getting that dash back on. If you only have to take off the one side that will help immensely!

How to remove heater core from a 1995 buick century

you will need to remove most of if not all of the dash to get to the heater core that is located on the passenger side behind the glove box. the problem is that it's inside the black heater box. some older models have it to where you can open a couple latches and there it is not sure if yours is like that or not thats why i say remove the dash

How do i change the heater core?

Some heater cores are quite complex in removing. They are sometimes buried behind the dash board. Often other parts of the dash will also have to come out (Glove compartment) to reach it. You have to locate and remove the heater box under the dash (usually on the passenger side) after disconnecting the heater hoses under the hood by the firewall. The heater box will have a wire harness and/or cables connected to it that will have to be disconnected before the box will drop out. Once the heater box is out...remove the cover and heater core and reinstall in the reverse order that it was removed.

Where is the heater core located on a 1999 F250 4x4 crew cab V10 Gas Super Duty? I was told under the hood and I have been told access is in the dash. Two very different costs to get fixed.....

Heater core is under the dash, the dash will have to be remove to replace the heater core, you will also need to have the a/c system recover, evac, and recharge if the system has freon, when this repair is done, this is about a 10 hrs. job.

Where is that located, exactly? The heater core, I mean.

It is in the dash behind the glove box. You need to remove the lower dash bolts and pull the dash forward enough to remove the heater core cover. You need to remove the panel in the back of the glove box to access some of the bolts.

1995 caprice clasic blows steam on windshield

you should be able to go under the dash on the passengers side to get to it. if you look where the heater hoses go in the engine compartment it will tell you how far up you have to go inside.

How do I change out a heater core on a 1997 GMC 1500 Pickup truck

you need to remove the glove box disconect the heater hoses look behind the glove box some heater boxes are two pieces and you can remove the heater half some you need to remove the whole piece if that is the case let a garage do it because they need to disconect the a/c so it needs to be evacuated and recharged if it is a two piece box just remove the bolts that hold the heater core under the dash and pull the box strait back good luck
