the fuse marked park. license plate lights are usually on the park light circuit. if your park lights work then you more than likely need to change the globe. the door of the fuse box should have a diagram telling you which fuses are for what
Perhaps this can give you some ideas and steer you in the right direction. Do a Google search:
2004 Saturn VUE park light diagram
I came up with schematic diagrams which may help you trace out the circuits. I hope this helps.
take each one out and check them with a meter or test light.. then put them back in..then be looking at fuseable link wires near the battery.. then go to relay controls operated by the headlight switch..
The wiring diagrams on 2000 and newer models are not easy to read sometimes, but it shows a 30amp park lamp fuse and a park lamp relay. The relay is controlled by the PCM. There is also a 10amp Int - Park fuse. I think the small fuse is inside the passenger compartment and the large fuse is in the engine compartment box. You may have to get a shop manual to get the diagrams to be able to check each circuit.
You can try an internet search for the wiring diagram. No power to all the parking lights? Then probably the light switch. Make sure you have power to both sides of the fuse. If not the either wiring from the switch or the switch itself. Good luck.
Hi There are a couple of wiring diagram and manual available on the net. The relay you are talking about is the park lamp relay which supplies power to the tail lamps, license plate lights and both front and rear park lamps. If the park and plate lights are working the light switch, relay and supply power are good. You need to verify for a broken brown wire to the tail lamps (assuming the sockets, lamps and grounds on both tail lights are good) .If none of the lamps are working then the 15A fuse number 3, the light switch or the park lamp relay could be bad (note different contact in the main light switch work the other lights)
Check all the bulbs at tail end for parking and brakes, test grounds and harness for trailer. Check fuses. clean batery terminals, Re instal head light swich properly and make sure all wires conect.
