Does this cost anything? If so, disregard.
SAAB 93 2001 Hatchback. The hatchback window/trunk will not close.
The mechanism in the window/trunk does not open in order for it to go over the latch in the trunk.

I had the very same problem with my 2002 Saab 9-3 after I manually moved the trunk latch to the locked position "out of curiosity..." Then I noticed there is a handle you can pull to release latch opening it up! Very simple remedy... It is a glow in the dark green plastic handle hanging down when the trunk/hatch is open dead center, just in slightly behind latch... Gently pull handle until you hear and see the latch click into the open position...Let me know how You make out. BTW: Toyota Camry has the same set up,same color as well...lol Good Luck!
Easily! The whole rubber surround can be replaced with a new one. The parts are cheap, but you might want to get a mechanic to do it anyway. It's not usually glued in or anything, just press-fitted.
Every car i've ever seen with a bad fuel smell and/or fuel leak up in that area has been a result of a cracked rubber seal.
take a closer look a the locking mechanism of the lock..if you see some wire or a single wire at the locking mechanism, then that is the door sensor of the trunk. it is mostly located at the latch where you close the trunk...
